The usual spectacular helicopters presence at FEINDEF is once again being led by Airbus Helicopters, which is exhibiting the latest versions of the H135 and the new navalized NH90.
The company is showcasing the helicopters it is supplying to the Armed Forces and State Security Forces. This year's major innovation is the NH90, which is in the final stages of customization to meet the requirements of the Spanish Navy.
Specifically, this last helicopter, along with two light H135 models, landed on May 6th on the large platform located in front of Hall 10 at Ifema, from where they were towed to Hall 4, where they can be seen on display at FEINDEF 25.
Regarding the first of those mentioned, it is the NHIndustries NH90 of the navalized tactical transport variant or MSPT (Maritime Spanish Tactical Transport Helicopter), seven of which will make up the flight equipment roster of the Fourteenth Squadron of the FLOAN (Aircraft Fleet) of the Spanish Navy.
The HN90 MSPT exhibited at FEINDEF, along with another currently at the Airbus Helicopters plant in Albacete, are expected to be delivered this summer to the FLOAN Squadron at its headquarters at the Rota naval base (Cádiz). All of the aircraft will arrive at this facility between this year and 2026, with which FLOAN will equip its new Fourteenth Squadron.
Regarding the H135s, one belongs to the National Police Air Force; while the other is one of those recently delivered to the SAER (Civil Guard Air Service), which arrived from the central base of this essential service of the Benemérita, based at the Torrejón Air Base (Madrid).
It should be noted that these two helicopters are among those delivered by Airbus Helicopters under the current contract to supply up to 36 of this model, 18 to the State Security Forces and the same number to the Armed Forces. They are equipped with state-of-the-art avionics, including an artificial intelligence system called Helionix.
